The 911 Turbo completed the range with great ambitions, going to occupy a very special place in the history of Porsche, inaugurating turbocharging in commercial production. Presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1974, the Turbo completed the 911 offer, already very complete. Derived from the Carrera RS 3.0 unit, the 911 Turbo engine (type 930/50) took up its 3-liter displacement, adding a KKK turbine at 0.8 bar, which allowed a power of 260 bhp. The 911 Turbo (also known as 930), apart from the cost, was not a car for everyone: the typical behavior of the 911 was even accentuated making it rather temperamental, but also incredibly fun.
